NextEnergy Capital, a UK-based investment manager focused on renewable energy, has expanded its solar portfolio in North-Eastern Spain. NextEnergy Capital said its Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)-focused fund, NextPower V ESG, has acquired a 110 MW PV portfolio from ib vogt, raising its total committed capacity to over 590 MW across selected markets. NextEnergy Capital confirmed that 220 MW of this capacity is operational, while 230 MW is nearing completion. The fund has secured $843 million in total commitments, including $218 million for co-investments from UK and Dutch pension funds and repeat investors. According to NextEnergy Capital, the fund follows a contracted revenue model to ensure stable, long-term cash flows.
