Mobi Solar Philippines Inc., asolar energy solution firm, and Long Neng Power have entered into a joint venture to expand renewable energy infrastructure in the Philippines. The partnership included a planned investment of $20 million over the first 3 years for 30 MW of capacity. This will be followed by an investment of $40 million over the next 3 years for an additional 60 MW. Funding was arranged through LongNeng Power Hong Kong and MOBI Renewables Hong Kong. The joint venture was structured to support the development and deployment of solar power projects across the country, contributing to increased generation capacity and grid support over the agreed investment period. Prior to this joint venture announcement, Mobi Solar–LongNeng and Chint had progressed the 13 MWp Butuan City solar project.
