LS Power, a New York-based energy infrastructure company, has completed the acquisition of ENGIE Services U.S., which has reverted to its original name, OPTERRA Energy Services. Headquartered in California, OPTERRA provides solar, microgrids, energy efficiency, and maintenance solutions to public-sector clients across North America. The company has completed over 9,000 energy projects, delivered 375MW of solar capacity, and implemented 24 microgrids. According to LS Power, the acquisition expands its demand-side capabilities and complements its broader infrastructure portfolio. OPTERRA has achieved $3billion in guaranteed energy savings and served clients including municipalities, school districts, and federal agencies. Notable deployments include backup microgrids for Chula Vista School District and streetlight modernization in Washington, D.C. The company employs nearly 300 professionals. Earlier this year, LS Power also acquired Algonquin’s renewable energy business, further reinforcing its strategy to scale clean energy assets across the US.
