Singapore-based Vanda RE, a joint venture between Gurīn Energy and Gentari, signed a framework supply agreement with LONGi, a solar technology company, to supply up to 1 GW of solar PV modules. The modules will be used in a utility-scale solar-and-storage project in Indonesia’s Riau Islands. The project includes 2.2 GW of solar capacity and 5 GWh of battery storage and forms part of the Indonesia-Singapore green economic corridor. The agreement meets Indonesia’s local content (TKDN) rules. It helps build clean tech supply chains, grow local industries, and bring in foreign investment. The project will send renewable power to Singapore and support Indonesia’s role as a clean tech hub in the region. Recently, LONGi also has deployed over 10 GW of Hi-MO 9 BC modules in Europe.
