LONGi Green Energy Technology, a China-based solar manufacturer, and Fortescue Ltd, an Australia-based resources and energy company, have signed a Heads of Agreement recently. The agreement was established to expand renewable energy deployment globally and includes multiple areas of cooperation. Fortescue’s Pilbara iron ore operations in Western Australia were identified as a central focus of the partnership. LONGi has agreed to serve as strategic technology partner by supplying advanced photovoltaic products to reduce energy costs and improve competitiveness. The agreement also included collaboration on joint project identification and financing support for large-scale renewable development. According to LONGi, targeted regions extend beyond Australia to the United States, Chile, Peru, Africa, and the Middle East. Planned solutions will combine solar generation, storage, and transmission to deliver integrated energy systems. Earlier this year, LONGi has earned three TÜV Rheinland 2025 awards for its BC modules, reinforcing its global technology position. LONGi further stated that it has a presence in more than 160 countries and is expanding into hydrogen, distributed solar, and building-integrated photovoltaics.
