US-based Array Technologies has been certified by Intertek for its DuraTrack and OmniTrack tracker systems. The certification has assured 2,000-volt compatibility of such tracker systems under UL 3703 and UL 2703 certifications. According to Array Technologies, this certification is aiding the industry shift from 1,500-volt to 2,000-volt solar module architectures in continuous progress, allowing lower electrical losses and less material usage. Array Technologies has emphasized that the higher-voltage compatibility is improving overall project efficiency while lowering the levelized cost of energy in large-scale deployments. Array Technologies has also noted that its long-row tracker architecture is enhancing project design flexibility and accommodating advanced technologies across diverse site conditions. This development has positioned Array Technologies to meet requirements of both utility-scale and distributed generation solar markets adopting higher-voltage systems globally. Earlier this year, Array Technologies has acquired APA Solar to expand its portfolio, strengthening its position to meet growing requirements of global solar markets.
