Spain-based Ingeteam has delivered its US photovoltaic inverter project at the 640 MW (DC) Parliament Solar plant in Waller County, Texas. The project is developed by Parliament Energy, is expected to generate 1,100 GWh annually, supplying power to about 140,000 homes. Ingeteam’s scope included 149 liquid-cooled central inverters integrated into 80 UL-certified transformer stations, provided as turnkey units. Commissioning was executed from its Milwaukee facility, where grid-forming techniques enabled faster startup than initially scheduled. Ingeteam has supplied over 6 GW of solar and storage inverters. According to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, utility-scale solar capacity in the US surpassed nuclear capacity in January 2024, with solar representing 81.5% of all new generation added that year. Earlier, Ingeteam partnered with Innergex to supply a 30 MW PV and BESS hybrid plant in Hawaii.
