Ingeteam, a Spain-based technology firm, has commissioned the Hale Kuawehi hybrid project in Hawaii. The plant, developed by Innergex Renewable Energy, includes 30MW of solar PV and 120MWh of battery storage. It is designed to supply dispatchable clean energy to over 14,600 households. A 25-year power purchase agreement has been signed with HECO. Ingeteam delivered 11 integrated power stations linked to both solar panels and batteries. These units are compact and built for quick field deployment. It enhances grid stability and energy resilience on the island. All systems were installed, tested, and connected following technical and safety protocols.Prior to this, Ingeteam had commissioned a hybrid solar installation in New South Wales.
