Poland-based GoldenPeaks Capital has inaugurated the 64.56 MW Zemplén Solar Park in Bodroghalom, Hungary. The facility is expected to produce 94.6 GWh of electricity annually, powering more than 30,000 people and offsetting around 863,000 tons of CO₂ over its lifetime. It is the first project in the company’s portfolio to deliver grid stability services through the aFRR segment. A long-term power purchase agreement has been signed with Faerch Group, ensuring secure offtake. Construction was completed within eight months under challenging conditions, with support from SPIE Hungary, Green Plan Energy Kft., ČEZ, Energiabörze, and other partners. GoldenPeaks Capital said Hungary remains central to its long-term strategy, with the new plant reinforcing national ambitions for energy independence, carbon neutrality, and community resilience.Earlier, GoldenPeaks Capital activated 92 MW of solar capacity across two Hungarian sites.
