Gentari, a clean energy provider through its subsidiary Gentari Renewables Sdn Bhd, has signed Solar Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Telekom Malaysia (TM) to supply solar power to six major TM facilities. The agreement came after a three-party MoU between TM, PETRONAS, and Gentari to help reduce carbon emissions from TM’s operations. Gentari will install and operate 4.3 MW of solar systems expected to generate 4.82 GWh annually and reduce 3,655,251 tons of CO₂ equivalent. Targeted sites include TM’s data centres, the R&D Complex, SKDL Mersing, and Multimedia University campuses. This builds on earlier installations completed by Gentari at UTP and INSTEP. Gentari has achieved 8 GW of installed and under-construction renewable energy capacity across Malaysia, India, and Australia. The Telekom Malaysia solar PPA announcement followed Gentari’s issuance of a notice to proceed for its 243 MW Maryvale Solar project, expanding its global portfolio.
