A clean energy infrastructure developer, Genesis Energy Holding and Desert Technologies Industries Factory CJSC (D-T) have signed a Strategic Collaboration Agreement at the Africa Energy Forum 2025. This agreement was signed after the two companies enteredan MoU in Dubai. D-T has chosen GENESIS’s Solar and Storage unit as its main partner for solar and battery projects in Africa.The partnership targets mini-grid and utility-scale projects to expand clean energy access. D-T contributes Sahara containerised solar systems and mini-grid technology. GENESIS brings 4.5 GW in project pipeline and 458 MW operational capacity. Both companies will explore joint ventures and financing options through Saudi EXIM Bank. A joint working group will oversee project execution.Earlier, Genesis also partnered with FRV Australia to commission a 63 MW solar farm in Canterbury.
