European Energy, a Copenhagen-based renewable energy developer, has recently signed a PPA with Apple for the 108 MW DC Lancaster Solar Park in Australia. The Victorian facility is currently under construction and is anticipated to be commissioned by 2026 to supply electricity to the National Electricity Market. According to European Energy, the agreement supports Apple’s goal of adding over one million MWh of new renewable energy annually before 2030. According to the European Energy, the partnership demonstrates the growing corporate demand for renewable sourcing and investment in Australia’s energy transition. European Energy is also expanding its local portfolio of solar, wind, and BESS assets to strengthen Australian grid stability. Earlier this year, European Energy had collaborated with Ingeteam to power its 100 MW Winton North hybrid project in Victoria.
