Enviromena & Close Brothers fund 8.99 MW PV farm in South Wales

Close Brothers funded Enviromena with GBP 3.7 million to build the 8.99 MW Rhigos Road Solar Farm in Aberdare, continuing their GBP 200 million UK partnership.

UK-based Enviromena, a clean energy solution, has secured GBP 3.7 million (~$4.91 million) in development and term loan funding from Close Brothers to construct the 8.99 MW Rhigos Road Solar Farm in Rhigos, Aberdare, South Wales. This project followed the GBP 30 million (~$39.82 million) funding for the Medebridge Solar Farm in Essex and continued their GBP 200 million (~$265.5 million) partnership announced in 2023. The Rhigos Road Solar Farm was designed to enhance biodiversity and supply electricity to around 3,948 homes per year. Construction started earlier this year and was expected to finish by January 2026. Enviromena oversaw more than 300 MW of operational renewable energy assets and maintained a project pipeline exceeding 3 GW across the UK and Italy. Recently, Kiln Fields Solar Farm, an 18 MW project in Hampshire by Enviromena has recently energized.
