Doral Renewables LLC, a US-based renewable energy developer and subsidiary of Israel’s Doral Group, has signed a PPA with a corporate buyer. The agreement covers 75% of the energy output and 100% of Renewable Energy Credits from its 430 MW AC Cold Creek Solar Project located in Schleicher and Tom Green Counties, Texas. The facility will generate more than 1 million MWh of clean electricity annually, raising Doral’s contracted capacity to over 1.6 GW across its US portfolio. Earlier this year, Doral Renewables entered into a partnership with American Farmland Trust to develop a Smart Solar program to develop for farmland in 22 states in the United States aimed to integrate energy generation while maintaining productivity in agriculture. Doral Renewables currently manages nearly 18 GW of renewable assets in development and has secured about $3 billion in long-term wholesale PPAs US-wide.
