Cero Generation, a European solar energy developer, has secured a ~GBP 200 million (~$ 267.89 million) Green Loan for three UK co-located solar and BESS projects. ING, NordLB, Rabobank, and Santander UK arranged the financing, which includes an accordion facility. The 360 MW portfolio was developed with Enso Energy and aligns with the EU Taxonomy. The first project, Bramley (115 MW), is set to begin construction in Autumn 2025. EDF providesoptimisation and route-to-market services for solar and storage. LONGiis supplying modules, and Sungrowis delivering battery systems. Metlen was appointed EPC contractor, with Omexom handling grid connections. Around 80 jobs will be created during construction. A GBP 50,000 (~$ 66972) community fund has been announced to benefitresidents. CMS, EvoInfra, and PMC Treasury supported Cero on legal, modelling, and risk advisory. Lenders were advised by Dentons, Wood, and Marsh. The financing supports grid stability and flexible power delivery through combined generation and storage capacity.Prior to this UK financing milestone, Cero Generation had already brought a 48 MW solar project online in Italy.
