UK-headquartered BOOM Power and Albanwise Synergy have secured planning permission on appeal for Carr Farm Solar Farm. The 49.9 MW project near Tickton is expected to power 15,000 homes annually. The scheme aligns with East Riding Council’s Net Zero 2050 target and planning policy. It includes a biodiversity net gain of 166.47% in habitat and 88.68% in hedgerows. The project is set to support the local economy during construction and through business rates. The planning approval confirms compliance with national and local renewable energy targets. BOOM Power and Albanwise Synergy worked jointly throughout the process. They engaged with stakeholders to address environmental concerns and strengthen the application. The appeal reviewed landscape impacts, with the Inspector noting moderate harm but approving the project. Earlier this year, BOOM Power also secured approval for a 29.7MW solar project in the UK, further strengthening its development pipeline alongside Carr Farm.
