Bila Solar, a US-based solar panel manufacturer headquartered in Indianapolis, has secured a 10 MW order from a community solar developer ahead of the September 2 federal deadline for safe-harboring projects. The order consists of 550 W dual-glass modules produced domestically in the US and is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2025. Bila Solar has stated that it is currently running two production shifts at its Indianapolis facility while preparing to transition into continuous 24/7 operations by early 2026. The Indianapolis facility of Bila Solar is projected to reach 300 MW of annual capacity by the end of 2025, with expansion plans under review to scale production up to 1 GW. In parallel, Bila Solar has advanced new product designs in collaboration with Origami Solar, including glass-glass and steel-framed modules qualifying for the 10% domestic content ITC adder. Additionally, Bila Solar is evaluating lightweight framed modules using fully US-sourced materials to strengthen domestic supply chain resilience.
