China-headquartered Astronergy, a solar technology company, has supplied bifacial ASTRO N5 modules for the Yurbaqua Floating Solar Park in Turbaco, Bolívar. Led by Enexa and Parque Central Zona Franca, the project became the largest floating solar installation in Colombia and the second largest in Latin America. It featured a capacity of 2.8 MW, covered more than 18,000 m² of water surface, and aimed to produce 4,720 MWh annually. The plant was designed to offset over 3,180 tons of CO₂ emissions per year and provide electricity for approximately 3,000 households. Phase 1 (1.37 MW) was planned for grid connection in June 2025, followed by Phase 2 by January 2026. As of now, construction progress has reached 85%. Astronergy worked with Enexa and the floating platform provider to ensure system compatibility and uphold product warranties. Recently, At Intersolar Europe 2025, the ASTRO N7s module was certified by TÜV NORD.
