The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), a Beijing-based multilateral development institution, has allocated $21 million in non-sovereign financing for the 100 MW Pasuruan PV project in East Java, Indonesia. The initiative, registered under project number 000935 and titled Proyek Hijaunesia Staple Financing, will be co-financed with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) as the lead co-financier. PT PLN Indonesia Power Renewables, a subsidiary of the state-owned utility, and Vena Energy Indonesia Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based renewable energy developer, have been named as project sponsors. The financing structure has mobilized private capital alongside AIIB support to accelerate Southeast Asia’s energy transition while expanding Indonesia’s renewable generation capacity. The project has been classified as Environmental and Social Category B, covering moderate and site-specific risks that are manageable with mitigation measures. Earlier this year, AIIB has also co-financed the 100 MW YEKA Erzin-2 solar project in Türkiye with TSKB
