UK-based bp finalized the acquisition of the remaining 50.03% stake in Lightsource bp, securing full ownership of the renewable energy company. With this acquisition, bp integrated Lightsource bp’s 62 GW development pipeline across 19 global markets, enhancing its renewable energy portfolio with utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. Lightsource bp, though now fully owned by bp, will continue to operate under its own brand, independently managing its solar and onshore renewable projects worldwide.
