US-based Bowman was contracted by J. Ranck Electric, Inc. (JRE) to lead the re-mobilization of a 64 MW solar project in Southeast Michigan. The project aimed to enhance substation capacity for integrating new photovoltaic systems with existing wind power infrastructure. Bowman provided electrical engineering, system modeling, and safety and capacity studies, including arc flash assessments and load flow analyses, to ensure grid reliability. This partnership followed previous collaborations, including a 200 MW solar array project, contributing to the expansion of Michigan’s renewable energy capacity.
