Californiaheadquartered Boviet Solar Technology Co. Ltd. has announced a $294 million project to renovate and expand its manufacturing facility in Greenville, North Carolina. The development is set to enhance solar production capacity while creating 908 local jobs. Phase 1 of the project, which began in Q3 2024, focuses on upgrading a 500,000 square foot facility to produce 2 GW of solar modules. This includes the manufacturing of Boviet’s Gamma Series Monofacial and Vega Series Bifacial PV modules. Phase 2, scheduled for Q4 2024, involves the construction of a new 600,000-square-foot facility dedicated to TOPCon solar cell production, adding another 2 GW to the output. ARCO/Murray is managing the infrastructure upgrades and equipment installations for both phases. The mass production is anticipated to begin by early 2025.
