Bayer has teamed up with Wuppertaler Stadtwerke (WSW) to power its German sites with renewable electricity. WSW will provide over 120 GWh of wind and/or solar power from local parks, meeting the needs of around 30,000 households annually. This power will come from German wind and solar parks under long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), encouraging the development of new renewable energy plants. The agreement underscores Bayer’s sustainability commitment in line with the Paris Climate Agreement, aiming for 100% renewable electricity by 2030.
