Azerbaijan’s first utility solar is operational

Azerbaijan’s first utility-scale PV plant, the 308MW Area 60 project, was officially commissioned, featuring Sungrow’s SG320HX inverters and MV Stations. Covering 5.5 million square meters in Gobustan District, the project utilizes 8.85MW PV blocks with SG320HX replacing SVG, enhancing power generation and reducing costs. Expected to generate 500 million kWh annually, it will provide green electricity to 110,000 families, curbing over 200,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions yearly.
