Axpo plans a 10 MW alpine solar system in Glarus Süd, Switzerland, the sixth of its kind. Covering 120,000 square meters in the Friiteren region, it aims for an annual generation of 13 GWh, powering 3,000 households. A solar array with 36,000 modules on tables each holding 8-12 modules, inclined up to 70 degrees and standing about 3 meters above ground, ensures usable pasture area post-construction.
