Bahrain Mall gets 3.5 MW solar power system

The Avenues-Bahrain, Bahrain’s largest seafront shopping and entertainment destination, has partnered with Yellow Door Energy for a pioneering sustainable energy project. Under a PPA, a 3.5 MW solar carport system will be installed, featuring over 6,000 bifacial solar panels across the outdoor parking area. This initiative aims to provide shading to 1,025 parking spots, covering 23,500 square meters. Construction begins soon, targeting completion by Q4 2024. Upon completion, it’s expected to generate 5.8 million kWh of clean energy annually, reducing carbon emissions by 4,000 metric tons.
