Atlanta Motorsports Park (AMP), based in Georgia, is advancing its sustainability efforts with a new solar farm. This project, managed by US-based Hannah Solar, will install 747 panels, each generating 480 watts, for a total of 358 kW. The system will cover approximately 60% of the park’s daily energy requirements and is expected to produce 450,300 kWh of clean energy annually. This will reduce AMP’s dependence on the local power grid and cut CO2 emissions by 7,312 pounds per year. The solar installation will power five AMP buildings, including karting facilities and the Sky Deck. As per AMP, this project aligns with its sustainability goals, which also include EV chargers and LED lighting. The system, supported by a USDA REAP Grant, will begin in Q3 2024.
