China-based Astronergy, in partnership with Thailand’s WOODWORK CO., LTD, has launched a 1 MW solar factory in Thailand to boost local manufacturing sustainability. WOODWORK CO., with over 20 years of experience, processes around 10 million cubic feet of rubber wood annually and aims to export 10,000 containers each year. The factory utilizes Astronergy’s ASTRO N5 n-type TOPCon solar modules, optimized for Thailand’s warm climate. According to Astronergy, these modules offer a maximum efficiency of 23.3% and power output up to 650 W. Astronergy has been active in Thailand’s renewable energy sector since 2016, recently adding wafer slicing lines in April 2024, enhancing its production capabilities to 5 GW annually.
