TOPCon ASTRO PV modules from China-based Astronergy, have received the Singapore Certificate of Conformity (COC) with a Class A fire performance rating under Scheme Type 5, meeting stringent fire safety standards. Equipped with TOPCon 4.0 cells, non-destructive cutting, high-reliability encapsulation, and light-redirecting film technology, these modules offer enhanced power generation, improved performance in low-irradiance conditions, better thermal cycling stability, and reduced degradation rates, says Astronergy. Singapore’s updated Code of Practice for Fire Precautions in Buildings, effective from March 2024, highlights the importance of fire safety in solar installations, particularly rooftop systems. The ASTRO N Series modules, with their certified fire rating, align with these regulations, making them suitable for rooftop and large-scale installations while maintaining compliance and ensuring efficient energy output.
