China-based Astronergy, a Tier-1 PV module manufacturer, recently completed a major 400 MW Solar+Grazing project in Tongren, Qinghai. Located at an altitude of over 3,400 meters and spanning 666.67 hectares, the project seamlessly integrates solar power with grazing activities. As per Astronergy, the company supplied 240 MW of its high-efficiency ASTRO Series modules, designed for reliability in diverse conditions, especially at high altitudes. The project is expected to generate 770 million kWh of clean energy annually, benefiting Tongren and nearby regions. This energy output will likely reduce coal consumption by 240,000 tons and cut carbon emissions by 1.93 million tons annually, showcasing a successful blend of renewable energy and traditional land use practices.
