US-based Aspen Power has completed six solar projects in Pennsylvania, adding 25.5 MW dc to its portfolio. These projects are expected to generate up to 37 million kWh of electricity in their first year, powering 5,100 homes annually. This achievement marks the first phase of a larger portfolio acquired from Sunrise Energy, which co-developed the projects with Aspen Power. Aspen’s total solar capacity in Pennsylvania now exceeds 145 MW. These initiatives support Pennsylvania’s goal of deriving 18% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2025. They will also create around 480 jobs in construction, development, and maintenance, using American-made components. Aspen Power continues to lead in distributed generation with over 600 renewable energy projects across 26 states.
