ARRAY unveils 77° hail stow tracker

Solar tracker manufacturer ARRAY Technologies has announced that it is developing a new steep-angle hail tracker with 77° stow capability. This tracker will offer the steepest stow angle for hail protection globally. This advanced system will enhance the resilience of solar installations in extreme weather conditions, providing both hail and wind protection, says the company. The tracker integrates ARRAY’s Hail Alert Response and Passive Wind Stow capabilities, proactively reducing damage risks and delivering up to 5% gain compared to active stow trackers. Durability improvements, including a larger gear rack and advanced damper, further strengthen its design. The new system will begin shipping in early 2026. ARRAY’s innovative solution helps safeguard solar panels from severe hail damage by proactively adjusting their position.
