US-based Tigo Energy, Inc. announced its TS4-X-O MLPE optimizers will be used in Brazil’s largest floating solar project, led by Apollo Flutuantes in partnership with AE Power. Scheduled for completion in December 2025, the project will span 18 solar islands on the Lajeado Hydroelectric Power Plant reservoir in Tocantins. It includes 97,200 optimizers and high-albedo platforms to boost light reflection, enhancing bifacial module efficiency. Each TS4-X-O device supports solar modules up to 800W at 25A, maximizing output while reducing land use. The optimizers provide enhanced electrical safety and monitoring, positioning floating solar as a scalable renewable model on Brazil’s water resources.
