SunPower Inc., a US-based residential solar services provider, has announced the first field installation of Monolith PV panels developed under a joint development agreement with Renewable Energy Corporation (REC). SunPower has stated that the first shipment of Monolith panels was delivered on January 16, 2026, and was fully assigned to customer installations upon delivery. The installation was completed by Cobalt Power Systems (CPS) at a residential site in Santa Cruz, California and the CPS has reported that strong demand led to an immediate follow-on order and continued deployment planning. The installed system combines Monolith PV panels with Enphase Energy inverters, enabling module-level digital control. SunPower confirmed that this installation marks the first field deployment of Monolith technology developed through its collaboration with REC.
