Standard Solar, a commercial and community solar developer and asset owner, acquired a 39 MW community solar portfolio in Illinois from New Leaf Energy. The portfolio included five projects located in Blackstone, Braceville, Dwight, Seneca and Wadsworth. These used single-axis tracker and ground mount technology, expected to generate over 46,700 MWh in the first year. This addition brought Standard Solar’s total footprint in Illinois to more than 150 MW across 30 projects. The projects allowed local residents and businesses to subscribe and receive bill credits. The companies emphasized their ongoing collaboration, with nearly 30 transactions completed. Standard Solar also acquired two additional community solar projects from Cenergy Power, totaling over 9 MW.
