SOLARCYCLE expands Cedartown hub with panel recycling and glass plant

US-based SOLARCYCLE, a company specializing in solar panel recycling, has repurposed a former yarn factory in Cedartown, Georgia. The site is being developed into a solar panel recycling facility and is expected to begin operations within weeks. Equipment installation is currently underway, and the company has accelerated hiring efforts. Once it starts running, the facility will recycle over 2 million solar panels every year and hire hundreds of people. Across the street, SOLARCYCLE is ready to build a new solar glass factory. All permits are approved, construction partners are lined up, and buyers are confirmed. The new factory could create more than 600 new jobs. The Cedartown community has prepared for this economic improvement by welcoming incoming businesses and residents.SOLARCYCLE’s Cedartown facility expansion follows its recycling agreement with RWE Clean Energy to recover high-purity materials from retired US PV panels.
