PowerBank Corporation, a Canada-based renewable energy project developer and asset owner, has received $920,000 following the closing of a term conversion of construction financing for the Geddes community solar project in upstate New York. The financing relates to a construction-to-mini-perm loan provided by Seminole Financial Services, LLC, with the original $2,600,000 construction loan announced on June 24, 2024. The loan agreement specified that conversion eligibility was subject to substantial project completion and the granting of permission to operate. The Geddes project was confirmed as fully operational on July 25, 2025, allowing the conversion to be completed. After conversion, the outstanding loan principal stands at $1,695,000, with a maturity date of January 20, 2032. The installation operates as a community solar facility connected to the local electricity grid, enabling subscribed participants to receive electricity bill credits based on allocated power generation. Recently, PowerBank has signed a lease for a 5 MW solar PV and BESS hybrid project in New York.
