Canada's PowerBank Corporation has executed a lease agreement for a 5 MW AC hybrid solar and battery energy storage project, NY-Holland Glnwd, in New York. The project is expected to be eligible for NYSERDA NY-Sun and Retail Energy Storage incentives and federal investment tax credits, while battery storage was described as supporting grid balance amid rising renewable generation and data center demand. The company is initiating preliminary interconnection screening and stated that, subject to approval, it would proceed with permitting and financing.
