PowerBank Corporation, a Toronto-based renewable energy developer, has commissioned on a 1.45 MW DC rooftop solar project in Calgary, Alberta. The project was developed for Fiera Real Estate Investments Limited and marks PowerBank’s first Alberta installation. It operates under Alberta’s Small Scale Generation program and sells electricity directly to the grid. As per project details, the installation also participates in Alberta’s Technology Innovation and Emissions Reduction system. PowerBank has provided full development and engineering, procurement and construction services under an EPC agreement. The project was supported by Zathura Investments during development and execution phases stages. Recently, PowerBank has cleared regulatory approvals for its 3.15 MW solar-plus-storage project in Buffalo.
