Origis Energy, a US–based renewable energy platform, has entered a long-term PPA with Meta, covering the 303 MW DC Greyhound A Solar project. The project has a 240 MW AC capacity, and is located in West Odessa, Texas. Project developers expect commercial operations of this facility by the middle of 2026. This solar installation forms part of Origis Energy's nearly 1 GW fully subscribed complex in West Texas. Roughly 500 MW from the complex was already operational before the remainder activates in 2026. Meta employs the 240 MW AC generation to align 100% of data center power needs with renewable sources. Origis Energy has also stated that it is developing more than 1 GW of additional solar and BESS assets, which are expected to expand the total complex to more than 2 GW by 2029. Recently, Origis Energy has closed financing for the Swift Air Solar II and III projects in Texas as they advance toward 2025 operations.
