Nextpower, a California-based provider of intelligent power generation systems, has established an expanded Southeast regional hub featuring a new Remote Monitoring Center in Nashville. Nextpower has also doubled its US steel fabrication capacity through a new line operated by MSS Steel Tubes USA in Memphis, Tennessee. MSS Steel Tubes USA, a subsidiary of Portugal-based Metalogalva Group, has partnered with Nextpower since 2015. This expansion targets solar tracker systems for utility-scale power plants in the Southeast. The existing facility, now supporting 120 skilled jobs, is projected to reach 150 as the operation capacity increase. In US, the Southeast region has added 5 GW of solar installation capacity recently, reaching nearly 28 GW in total, with projections to hit 54 GW in the future. Prior to this update, Nextracker had implemented automated tracking systems with ARENA support.
