The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) has provided up to $4.96 million to Nextracker for deploying its proprietary solar construction and integrated tracker technologies across multiple Australian solar farms, including the Goulburn River Solar Farm in New South Wales. The project is implemented with solar developers and EPC contractors to automate large-scale solar foundation installation and reduce construction risks and costs. It has introduced Nextracker’s NX Earth Truss foundation system, which allows single-pass installation, lowering labour, equipment needs and ground disturbance. This innovation enables faster and more cost-effective development on difficult terrain. The initiative is aligned with ARENA’s Ultra Low-Cost Solar strategy to cut balance-of-plant expenses through automation and is expected to provide key data supporting broader adoption of advanced tracker and foundation solutions.
