Spain-based Matrix Renewables, a global renewable energy platform backed by TPG Rise, and rPlus Energies has commissioned the Pleasant Valley Solar 1 project in Ada County, Idaho. The solar facility has a capacity of 200 MW (AC)/ 261 MW (DC) and is the largest in Idaho Power’s system. The project includes a Power Purchase Agreement secured through negotiations with Meta and Idaho Power, supported by a jointly developed Energy Services Agreement. Sundt Renewables finished construction on March 2, 2025, with about 220 workers involved. The project was developed starting in 2021. rPlus Energies has an office in Ada County, allowing closer community ties. Both companies plan to continue working with the local community and support the area’s economy. Matrix Renewables also secured €40 million in financing from UniCredit for its first solar project in Italy.
