US-based GS Power Partners, an Independent Power Producer, and Black Bear Energy completed the Dorsey Run rooftop solar project in Maryland. The system is located on an industrial building managed by Principal Asset Management. It is GSPP’s first project in the state and brings their total solar capacity with Black Bear to over 8 MW. The project provides low-cost renewable energy to local households and supports Maryland’s goal of reaching 50% renewable energy by 2030. Neighborhood Sun manages subscriptions for the community solar program, and Solar Landsc ape handled engineering and construction. Principal Asset Management noted the project supports its carbon reduction goals. The completion follows GS Power Partners’ recent $22 million funding secured for community solar development in New York, further expanding its clean energy portfolio.
