ES Foundry signs 150 MW supply deal with US community solar firm

US-based ES Foundry, a manufacturer of crystalline solar cells, signed a three-year supply agreement with a national community solar developer. The deal covers 150 MW of American-made solar cells to support the developer’s growing project pipeline. The deal includes BNEF Tier 1 modules that use ES Foundry’s US-produced cells. This enables the developer to qualify for domestic content-related tax incentives. It also secures a consistent supply amid ongoing supply chain challenges. The agreement supports the developer’s plans to expand projects across the country. It highlights the growing shift toward local solar component sourcingThis accounted for 66% of all new electric generation. A separate 300 MW multi-year PV cell supply agreement between ES Foundry and Bila Solar also indicated continued demand for US-made components. The deal reflects the increasing need for reliable domestic components to meet demand and support national energy goals.
