ES Foundry, a US-based solar cell manufacturer, has signed a multi-year deal to supply 300 MW of domestically produced high-performance solar cells to Bila Solar, an Indianapolis-based module maker. The solar cells will be manufactured in Greenwood, South Carolina, supporting the push for onshoring solar technology. Bila Solar, which recently repurposed a former Eli Lilly factory, will integrate these US-made cells into its 550 W modules, helping developers qualify for the ITC’s 10% domestic content bonus. Production begins in May 2025.
