ENGIE North America, a US–based renewable energy developer, has expanded its partnership with Ares Infrastructure Opportunities through the addition of a 730 MW portfolio of PV and wind assets. The portfolio consists of one wind project and two solar projects that are currently operating across ERCOT, Texas’ electric grid operator. ENGIE stated that it will retain a controlling share in the assets and will continue to operate and manage the portfolio. The transaction increases the overall ENGIE - Ares partnership to 4.3 GW of investment in US solar, wind, and storage assets. ENGIE has reported that it currently holds more than 11 GW of renewable generation and energy storage projects in operation or under construction across the US and Canada. Globally, ENGIE stated that it has 52.7 GW of renewables and storage assets in operation and is targeting 95 GW by 2030. Recently, ENGIE NorthAmerica has commissioned two Knox County community solar farms in Illinois, delivering power and subscriber savings via Ampion.
