DTE Energy, a Detroit-based diversified energy company, completed the Pine River Solar Park in Pine River Township, Michigan. The project includes over 180,000 solar panels and has a total capacity of 80 MW, supplying energy to nearly 20,000 homes. Pine River Solar is the second of three new solar parks DTE is connecting to the grid in 2025. The project was funded through the CleanVision MIGreenPower program, Michigan’s largest community solar program. DTE has five additional parks under construction to meet customer demand for clean energy. The project is expected to bring significant tax revenue to Gratiot County and Pine River Township. DTE has generated enough clean energy to power over 750,000 homes and plans to expand renewable energy to power nearly 6 million homes by 2042. Recently, DTE Energy also began Cold Creek Solar Park near Coldwater to support Ford’s 650 MW MIGreenPower deal.
