US-based DESRI, a firm that operates long-term renewable energy assets, and Ranger Power have reached financial close. They also began construction on two solar projects in Michigan: Heartwood Solar (150 MW (AC)) in Hillsdale County and White Tail Solar (140 MW (AC)) in Washtenaw County. Heartwood solar project has a power purchase agreement with Consumers Energy and plans to start operations in 2026, while White Tail has agreements with Lansing Board of Water & Light and MPPA, aiming for completion by the end of 2025. Together, the projects are expected to generate over $62 million in property tax revenue and have supported local community initiatives. Financing was arranged by several banks, including Fifth Third Bank, Zions Bancorporation, Bank of America, Commerzbank, and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank. Primoris Services Corporation is managing solar construction, and CEG is overseeing the high-voltage work. DESRI, Ranger Power also partnered to develop the 250 MW (AC) Show Me State Solar Project in Callaway County, Missouri.
