US-based Cypress Creek Renewables has announced that it had reached financial close and has begun construction on the 505 MW (DC) Hanson Solar facility in Coleman County, Texas. The project delivered power to the ERCOT grid under a PPA with Meta and supported grid reliability and local economic activity. Construction was handled by TIC – The Industrial Company, a Kiewit subsidiary, and involved an estimated 300 jobs and more than $80 million in projected tax revenue. Hanson Solar secured preferred equity from a global credit asset manager and debt financing from MUFG Ltd. and SMBC. The companies stated that the financing is aligned with their infrastructure priorities and the project was expected to reach commercial operation in mid-2027. Prior to this, The 104 MW Ostrea Solar project in Washington, which secured USD 150 million and began construction toward mid-2026 operations.
